COLLEGE PLACEMENT

Where Do you Want to GO?

The ASA College Preparation Program has been designed to assist the needs of our aspiring collegiate level soccer players & to provide specifically developed guidance, information & resources that will enable each student-athlete to make the transition to pursue a College Degree regardless if they decide to play Collegiate Soccer or not.

Although the percentage of players who receive college scholarships is minimum, we want each athlete to receive the maximum opportunity to qualify for athletic scholarships, academic scholarships.

We are seeing a large segment of the players who are not recruited when they do not have a strong academic standing during their final 3 years of recruitment.

Being Proactive During the College Recruiting Process

  • We will take a step by step process with the student athletes in giving them action plans to follow to insure they are covering every detail to maximize there exposure to college coaches, and meet NCAA recruitment guidelines

  • Individual meetings are set up with each grade to go over the action plan for the particular year and to make sure each and every player is on course.

  • Additionally, meetings can be set up to ensure that the individual needs are being met and to assist in the process of finding the correct college/university, both academically and athletically.

  • For players who are ending their club career, and don't plan to play at the collegiate level we do have a College Counseling and a mentor program available to insure a smooth and successful transition into the collegiate life.

College ID Camps

We work with our players and top collegiate coaches to insure they get the opportunity to attend the appropriate College Identification camps in the region.

College Recruitment Timeline

Recent studies state that only 19.2% of boys and girls players playing competitive soccer go on to play College Soccer after leaving High School for College. It is not uncommon to see players who do not go on to play at the D1 Level due to the competitive level of division 1 athletes, academic struggles, and player injury. With this in mind we recommend that families develop a plan of action to insure excellence on and off the field.
